The herb hu zhang has the highest concentration of resveratrol and is its richest source. It is commonly used in supplements containing resveratrol, with its root being the source, and is plentiful in Japan, according to The Herb Connection. Its scientific name is Polygonum cuspidatum, and it is known by many other names, such as Mexican bamboo, Japanese knotweed and Fallopia japonica.
Mulberry

Mulberry is a natural source of resveratrol. The mulberry tree is an herb and a good source of resveratrol, although not as rich as hu zhang.
