How to Treat Eczema & Psoriasis With Tea

Eczema and psoriasis are skin irritations that are hard to control. There are now recommendations to use herbal teas to help clean out and detoxify the inside of your intestines. This in turn helps to add to the healing of your skin afflictions. According to Mother Nature website, sarsaparilla tea is a blood purifier and added to other herbs, helps cure psoriasis, eczema and other skin ailments. Per Edgar Cayce's Psoriasis Treatment website, there are other herbal teas that help such as American yellow saffron and water with a pinch of slippery elm bark. These lead to an internal detoxification.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 cups water
  • 2 simmering pots
  • 1/2 tsp. sarsaparilla root
  • 1/2 tsp. licorice root
  • 1/2 tsp. burdock root
  • 1/2 tsp. pau d'arco bark
  • 1/2 tsp. bupleurum root
  • Clean cloth

Instructions

      Put 3 cups of water in a simmering pot on the burner. According to Mother Nature website, add 1/2 teaspoon each of sarsaparilla root, licorice root, burdock root, pau d'arco bark and bupleurum root (this one is optional).

      Simmer gently for 10 minutes and turn off the heat. Let the herbs sit in the water for another 10 minutes, and then strain the tea through a clean cloth into another pot.

      Drink a cup of this herbal tea three times per day.
