How to Unplug Tear Ducts With Vitamins
Tear ducts, located in the inner corner of the eye, produce tears whose purpose is to keep your eyes clean. They can become blocked in any number of ways, including congenital defects, injuries, cysts and tumors, infections or just plain advancing age. If you have frequent infections or irritations of the eyes, bloody tears or swelling of the eyelids, you may have plugged tear ducts.Instructions

Learn if a vitamin deficiency is causing your tear duct problem. A simple blood test in a doctor's office will tell you your vitamin levels. If you have a deficiency, the doctor will recommend that you take a vitamin or vitamins.

Take a vitamin B2 supplement. Lack of B2 causes dry, dysfunctional tear ducts. Take the supplement once a day with meals. Buy vitamins over-the-counter or ask your doctor if you need a prescription vitamin.

Take daily doses of vitamin A and D when an infection blocks your tear ducts. Get some sunlight to boost vitamin D absorption and include milk, vegetables, and fruits in your diet to increase vitamin A consumption.
