How to Make a Drawing Salve With Turmeric
You may not know that the food you eat can cure physical ailments, but this is exactly the case with many herbs. One such herb is turmeric. Asian food generally features turmeric as a coloring and spicing agent, but medicinally speaking, turmeric can also have a number of positive effects. The American Cancer Society advises that turmeric can slow the growth of some tumors. Turmeric can also be mixed into a drawing salve to draw infection from boils, hemorrhoids and other such conditions.Things You'll Need
- 1 Tbsp honey
- Mixing bowl
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Mixing spoon
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- 1/3 tsp sea salt
- Plastic wrap
- Cloth

Pour 1 Tbsp of honey to a mixing bowl. Stir in 1 tsp of turmeric powder and mix well with a spoon or other mixer.

Add ½ tsp of ginger powder and 1/3 tsp of sea salt to the mixture and stir thoroughly. The mixture should form a thick paste.

Apply the paste to your boil or other skin ailment. Spread a thick layer of paste over the affected area and at least 2 inches in each direction around the ailment.

Wrap the treated area with plastic wrap, followed by a cloth or bandage. This will help to keep the mixture on the sore and stop the area from getting wet.

Keep the area dry for two days. Wash away the mixture and check the condition; reapply the paste if necessary to continue treatment.
