Herbal or Natural Remedy for Brown Spots on Legs

Brown spots on the legs may result from by a few different factors: diabetes, sun damage and aging, for example. Try a few natural remedies for brown spots on the legs caused by sun damage and aging. If you have brown spots from a medical condition, on the other hand, talk to your doctor for the best advice.
  1. Vinegar

    • Vinegar has treated many ailments over the years, and it may also help with brown spots. Mix vinegar with onion juice, then apply it to the brown spots on your skin. To make the mixture, either blend or finely chop some onion. Squeeze out the juice and mix with an equal part of apple cider vinegar. Apply with a cotton ball to the discolored area of your leg. This will take some time to work, but if you do it every day you should see the spots fade and eventually disappear. It may take about six weeks to work well, so don't give up.

You can also drink a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with water twice a day. Drink this mixture to help fade the age spots or sun spots while giving you additional energy.

    Aloe Vera

    • Aloe vera, either fresh from the plant or bought from your local pharmacy, can help fade brown spots on the legs. Apply some aloe vera to the brown spots on your leg a couple of times a day. If you do this regularly, you should notice the spots fading and your skin becoming softer and healthier. Also look for aloe vera in juice form to drink.

    Lemon Juice

    • Applying lemon juice to the spots a couple of times a day will also help fade them. Rub the lemon right on the spots, or dab some lemon juice on the brown spots with a cotton swab. Using this method may take a couple of months, but it will prove well worth seeing those spots on your legs disappear.
