St. John's Wort for Mole Removal
Though St. John's Wort is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, it can also be used to remove moles. Using a concentrated form of the popular herb, one may both remove moles and lighten age spots or dark areas of the skin, sometimes getting rid of them completely. Though there are numerous over-the counter medications one can take to remove moles or age spots, St. John's Wort offers a natural alternative to these.-

Clean the skin around the mole with a mild, natural cleanser that does not contain harsh agents, such as alcohol. After washing this area thoroughly, exfoliate the skin with a natural scrub to remove dead skin or remaining dirt. Dry the skin by gently patting it to absorb moisture--do not rub the skin roughly when drying, as this may irritate the skin and the mole.
Using a potent, pure form of St. John's Wort oil (found at most natural herb and food stores), use an eye dropper to pour five drops of the oil directly onto the mole, rubbing the oil in gently but thoroughly. Then allow the mole to dry for about 30 minutes.
Cut a circular piece of strong adhesive material, such as duct tape or moleskin, which will cover the mole--which should be dry at this point--completely. Place the circular adhesive over the mole and press down firmly so that it stays put. Leave the adhesive on for about a week, keeping the area completely dry (cover the adhesive when taking a shower, for example).
After a week, the mole may fall off when the adhesive is removed, though it also may take a few more weeks of the same treatment for the mole to come off. One can use a milder form of St. John's Wort (such as the flowers or leaves) to lighten age spots, as well.
One should not use this method of mole removal if the mole has changed color and size, or open sores exist around the mole. In such cases, one should visit a dermatologist immediately in order to have the mole professionally checked out.
