Check to make sure the lemongrass oil you are using is pure essential oil. Some products sold as plant oils are artificially scented or blends of several types of oil. Only pure essential oil will contain the antifungal properties needed to treat your nail fungus.

Dilute your lemongrass oil with a carrier oil. Olive oil and grapeseed oil are often used as carrier oils. Pour 1 ounce of carrier oil into a clean bottle or other container with a tight fitting lid. Add 6 drops of lemongrass oil into the carrier oil. Secure the lid and shake to mix.

    • 3

Massage the lemongrass oil mixture into the infected nail twice daily. Within a few applications you should notice the fungus becoming black or dark brown. That means it is dying. Healthy nail growth should soon appear.

Continue using the lemongrass oil mixture until a new, healthy nail has grown back in.
