How to Alkalize the Blood

The human body is designed to maintain your blood at a slightly alkaline pH. What this means is that if your blood were tested it should have a pH around 7.5. This has an number of benefits to the body. First, research has shown that pathogens—including bacteria, viruses and cancer—cannot live in an alkaline environment. Therefore your ability to fight disease increases. It also allows your body to store more calcium, because when your body is acidic it uses calcium to neutralize the blood. Therefore more calcium can be used for building bones.

Eat according to your metabolic type. There are three basic metabolic types that people fall into. They are protein types, carbohydrate types and mixed types. A person's metabolic type effects what foods are acidic or alkaline for them, meaning a given food may be acidic to one person, but alkaline to another. The first place to look to find your metabolic type is a book by William Wolcott titled "The Metabolic Typing Diet."

Use "The One Minute Cure" protocol. In this book by Madison Cavanaugh, she describes a specific protocol that uses 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide (not your typical store bought peroxide) to alkalize the body. The protocol uses a specific number of drops in 8 oz. of distilled water three times per day. This protocol should not be attempted without the supervision of a licensed health care practitioner.
