Estroven Supplement Facts

Black Cohosh

• Estroven contains black cohosh, a powerful herb used to minimize hot flashes and promote female health. Since 2001, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has endorsed the temporary use of black cohosh to relieve menopausal symptoms in some women.

Vitamins, Minerals and Other Nutrients

• Estroven products contain calcium and boron to increase bone density; B-vitamins to diminish irritability and improve metabolism; vitamin E for its antioxidant properties and folic acid to help regulate hormone levels and moodiness.

Interactions with Prescription Medications

• According to the manufacturer's website, Estroven may be taken safely in conjunction with most prescription drugs. However, because certain medical conditions may alter a supplement's effectiveness, women should consult their physicians before taking Estroven with other medications.

• Estroven supplements are free of gluten, animal products, artificial colors and flavors, but they do contain soy. Patients with a soy allergy or sensitivity should consult their physician before taking Estroven.
