Herbal Treatment for Cellulite
Cellulite is the unsightly dimpling that comes from built-up fatty deposits under the skin. At least 90% of women have cellulite, which often appears on the buttocks, thighs, hips, under the arms and sometimes on the tummy.-
Causes
-
Cellulite is caused over time when the tissues in certain parts of the body deteriorate. When poor circulation in these areas occurs, the fatty tissue is damaged.
Herbal Treatments
-
There are a variety of cellulite treatments to choose from, including cellulite body wraps, herbal creams and lotions, sea salt baths, herbal supplements and essential oils.
Types of Herbs
-
Some of the best herbal essential oils to use are: fucus (kelp), gotu kola, coffee or guarana, juniper berry, lemon and lemongrass. Use any one or a combination of these herbs by applying to desired area. Coffee must be ground up and mixed with a lotion or cream first.
Misconceptions
-
Many cellulite treatments are marketed as providing long-term results. Using herbal wraps, oils, supplements, etc. can help tremendously to reduce cellulite, but it is more effective to use a combination of methods.
Long Term Methods
-
Combine herbal oils, wraps, drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water per day, using a dry brush on cellulite areas in the morning and evening, eating a good diet low in saturated fats and exercising a few times a week to attain lasting results.
