- 1 oz. dried oregon grape root
- 5 oz. 100-proof distilled vodka or brandy
- Glass jar, preferably brown

Stir the grape root and alcohol thoroughly in the jar so that the herb disperses throughout the entire container. Because it will help to reduce light damage, a brown glass jar is your best container option.

Steep the mixture for 6 weeks before consuming.
