Herbal Treatment for Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a condition of the spine causing an unnatural curvature. One of the oldest and most successful herbal treatments for scoliosis, introduced in 1992, uses oils derived from herbs applied directly to the spine.-
Considerations
-
Herbal treatments in pill form will only provide pain relief and muscle relaxation but will not correct the scoliosis unless combined with chiropractics.
Herbal Oils
-
Individual oils of thyme, oregano, cypress, birch, basil, peppermint and marjoram are used. A kit called "The Raindrop Technique," available online, includes full instructions and oils for home application.
Preparation
-
For treatment, the person should lie face down on a table with her head slightly lower than the body. Use a bed sheet to protect the modesty of the individual as she changes positions.
Function
-
Repeated application once a month will produce some realignment of the spine. To maximize realignment combine with regular chiropractic visits. Factors such as body type, severity of the curve, and weight play into how many times the technique will need to be repeated.
Effects
-
Aromatherapy combined with massage application produces a surge of energy. Oils deliver a frequency of energy, building on each other.
