How to Boil Water for Medicinal Herbs

- Distilled or purified water
- Tea kettle
- Stove

Fill the tea kettle with room-temperature distilled or purified water. Do not use an aluminum kettle as it may release chemicals into the water.

Set the full kettle on the stove and put on the lid. Use the appropriate burner for the size of the kettle.

Turn the heat to high and let it heat. When the kettle begins to whistle, the water is boiling.

Let the water reach a full boil for several minutes to eliminate any possible organisms or bacteria. It's then ready for use.
