Take a bath in oatmeal and chamomile flowers. This will help to sooth and calm any redness and itching as both of these ingredients are known to soothe and heal a variety of skin conditions from chicken pox to sunburn. Grind the oatmeal in the blender before adding it to the bath so that you are literally soaking the affected area in oatmeal. Allow the chamomile flowers to steep in boiled water for 10 minutes before adding the water and the flowers to the bath.
Aloe Vera

Apply aloe vera gel to the affected area. Make sure the gel is the pure pulp from an aloe vera plant. You can make a light healing solution using olive oil as a base. Olive oil is said to have antibacterial properties and is said to be helpful in healing the skin and skin infections. It is also very hydrating for the skin. Add vitamin E oil to the olive oil. You can purchase vitamin E in capsule form and break open a capsule in 2 tbsp. of olive oil. Vitamin E is known to be high in antioxidants and is said to promote the healing of the skin.
Essential oils can be added to this oil base. Chamomile, lavender and geranium are the best oils for treating eczema. Add 2 drops of chamomile, 1 drop of lavender and 1 drop of geranium to the oil. Alternatively you can add three drops of any of these oils to the olive oil. Do not add more than 4 drops to the mixture. For weeping eczema, use bergamot and juniper instead.
Mix the olive oil, vitamin E and essential oils together and apply the mixture to the affected area. Apply the aloe vera followed by the oil several times a day to make sure that the area is always hydrated.
