Uses for the Herbs: Marigold, Tansy, Vervain and Valerian Root
"Herbs" mean more than just spices in your kitchen cupboard when talking about alternative medicine. The term is used to describe plant-based remedies. Herbs have been used for many years as part of folk medicine, and modern medicine is learning about their abilities.-
Marigold

Valerian

Valerian, or Valeriana officinalis, has been used since the ancient Greeks. It is used to help anxiety and insomnia. Because of valerian's unpleasant taste and smell, it is usually taken as a capsule or tablet. The root is used.
