How to Make Wheatgrass Cream

The value of wheatgrass was made popular by Dr. Ann Wigmore. In her autobiography "Why Suffer?: How I Overcame Illness and Pain Naturally," she states that she was introduced to the healing effects of herbs and wheatgrass by her grandmother in Lithuania. Wheatgrass cream reportedly accelerates the healing of skin rashes, cuts, sores, abrasions and bruises. Preparing the cream with raw honey as the base may double the positive results. Here is how you can make wheatgrass cream.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 jar of raw honey
  • 1 packet of dried wheatgrass
  • 1 small mixing container
  • 1 mixing spoon
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 crucible for crushing tablets into powder (optional)

Research your suppliers of dried wheatgrass and raw honey for quality. Some suppliers grow wheatgrass in greenhouses, which can cut out necessary UV rays that negatively effects photosynthesis, lowering the quality of wheatgrass. Be sure that the supplier uses low-heat dehydration to keep enzymes and other qualities intact. Some distributors pack wheatgrass in nitrogen atmosphere, which stops any degrading of the product due to exposure to oxygen.

Pour the contents of one packet of dried wheatgrass into the mixing container.

    • 3

Add 2 tsp. of raw honey. Stir briskly until thoroughly mixed. Make enough cream for only one application at a time. Once wheatgrass is juiced it begins degrading immediately; the same is true for dry tablets and powder once exposed to oxygen.

Apply topical treatment to skin three times daily until all symptoms have been relieved.
