Herbal Products for Adrenal Glands

Certain herbal supplements are known to be helpful in strengthening the adrenal glands. Other herbs can be detrimental to the adrenals and should be avoided.

    Ginger Root

    • Ginger root is another adaptogen for the adrenal glands that helps to normalize cortisol levels,blood pressure and heart rate. It also helps burn fat, increase energy and metabolic rate, and stimulates digestive enzyme secretions for proteins and fatty acids.

    Herbs to Avoid

    • Some herbs should be avoided by those with adrenal fatigue, including: ephedra (or Ma Huang), cola nut and strong black teas.
