Cold Remedies Using Garlic & Honey
Garlic contains antioxidants that help combat infections. It can be consumed in various forms and helps shorten the severity and duration of many infections. Honey has antiviral and antibiotic properties, and helps boost energy and fight symptoms of colds and the flu.-

If you are suffering from a sore throat, try this simple gargle made with honey. Mix 2 tbsp. of honey with 4 tbsp. of cider vinegar, and add a pinch of salt. You can gargle with this mixture daily to soothe an irritated throat.
To help relieve congestion, mix 8 oz. of water, 2 oz. lemon juice, 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 tsp. of eucalyptus oil. Drink this concoction warm to help loosen phlegm, and ease sinus and other congestion.
To help control coughing, combine 3 tbsp. lemon juice and 1 cup of honey in a bowl. Slowly stir in ½ cup warm water. Store this mixture covered in the refrigerator, and take 1 to 2 tsp. as needed for cough relief.
Eat a raw garlic clove with a dab of honey to cut the pungent taste. Eating garlic raw allows you to receive the full benefit of its immune-boosting properties.

For a garlic and honey cold remedy, peel and separate three heads of garlic into cloves---this should yield roughly 24 cloves. Add one small bottle of raw natural honey, 1 tsp. cider vinegar, and 1 dash cayenne pepper, then mix together and store in a Mason jar for several days to infuse the flavors. This tonic can used as needed to fight flu-like symptoms.
At the first sign of cold symptoms, prepare this tea to open up your chest and nasal cavities. Mix 1 inch of sliced or grated ginger root, ½ sliced lemon with peel and 1 mashed garlic clove with 2 cups water. Bring the mixture to a boil in a pan, then turn the flame down, and simmer the ingredients for 20 minutes. Strain into mugs and add lots of honey.
