Instructions

    • 1

Heat two cups of honey under medium heat in a cooking pot and remove from heat before it comes to a boil.

    • 2

Boil one whole lemon in water in another pot until it softens, and slice it after it has cooled. Alternately, you can choose to squeeze out the juice of the lemon instead of slicing it.

    • 3

Place the lemon slices or pour the lemon juice into the pot with the honey and continue to heat it, allowing it to warm for at least an hour.

    • 4

Remove the lemons and strain the seeds that are left in the lemon and honey mixture after heating.

    • 5

Allow the mixture to sit until it has completely cooled.

    • 6

Pour everything into a glass jar with a cover and tightly seal it.

    • 7

Refrigerate the cough syrup if you won't be using it right away.
