Vinegar Remedies for the Skin
Vinegar is a common ingredient in many kitchens. It also has many uses as a natural health remedy for common ailments. There are many vinegar remedies for skin care. Vinegar is made by fermenting natural sugars into alcohol and then into vinegar. It has been used for over 10,000 years as a natural remedy.-
Types

There are many types of vinegar available today. Apple cider vinegar is made from the fermentation of apples. It is widely used in many natural remedies. Distilled, or white, vinegar is also a very common ingredient in natural skin care remedies. Either vinegar will work in home remedies for the skin.
Skin Care

Soothe poison ivy by applying a mixture of equal parts vinegar and rubbing alcohol to the rash. This will dry up the rash and relieve the itch.
Fade brown spots with a mixture of onion juice and vinegar. The mixture should be a ratio of 1 part onion juice to 2 parts vinegar. Dab on the brown spots twice a day. Make the onion juice yourself by grating an onion onto cheesecloth. Then squeeze to release the juice.
Take a bath in warm water with an addition of half a cup of vinegar to relieve dry itchy skin. This will soothe the itch, moisten the skin and you'll have the benefit of having a sparkly clean tub.
Relieve the pain of sunburn by spraying vinegar on the burn. Chill the vinegar for faster relief. If a spray bottle is not available, soak a washcloth in the cooled vinegar and apply directly to the sunburn.
Manage acne with a vinegar mixture. Blend together 2 tbsp. of vinegar and a glass of water. Dip a cotton ball, or clean washcloth, into the mixture and apply directly to acne. Do this three to four times a day until you see improvement.
Razor burn is a painful result of shaving too quickly or without enough shaving cream or moisturizer. Soothe the pain by bathing in a cool bath with an added three to four capfuls of vinegar.
