Home Remedy for a Burn Pain Relief
Burns are extremely painful, destroying skin and subcutaneous tissue. First-degree burns are burns which only burn the skin (epidermis). Second-degree burns reach deeper, burning the skin and its lower layers (epidermis and endodermis). Third-degree burns, the worst of all, burn all tissue including subcutaneous fats and even nerves and glands. Types of burns include burns from heat (fire, hot water, oil), chemical burns, radiation and electrical burns. Certain herbs can greatly alleviate the pain of burns and assist healing.-
Lavender

Most people don't know that lavender oil is perhaps the best burn treatment possible. Apply topically directly to the site of the burn. In a few seconds the pain will dissipate. Lavender oil is rich in many compounds that help skin regenerate, including volatile oils (up to 1.5 percent linabol, linalyl acetate, lavendulyl acetate, terpinenol, cineole, camphor, borneol, pinene, limonene), tannins and coumarins (coumarin, umbelliferone, hemiarin), flavanoids and triterpenoids. Together, these compounds can regenerate damaged tissue and even heal second-degree burns, often without leaving a scar.
Aloe Vera

Long known to assist treating minor burns, aloe vera is a succulent member of the lily family that contains a mineral and vitamin-rich fluid within its leaves. This gel has many health benefits and is a great skin tonic. It also relieves pain temporarily.
Covering

When treating burns, it is advisable to cover them with a dry cloth to minimize the chance of infection. Washing the burned area with cold water cleans while soothing the pain.
Butter

Never apply butter to a burn. It does not help and can actually make the burn worse.
Other Remedies

Other household staples good for treating burns include honey, milk, egg whites and yogurt. Colloidal silver can be used to help skin heal and as a topical antiseptic. Third-degree burns (burns that burn right into the subcutaneous tissue) should be treated medically.
