Alternative Candida Treatment

There are many alternative candida treatments available that you can implement at home. These offer different options from those available over the counter at your drugstore and are easy to make and use.
  1. Yogurt

    • Eat up to eight ounces of yogurt daily. Also, placing yogurt directly into your vagina is an option. Simply insert a yogurt-coated tampon and leave in place for several hours.

    Herbal Douche

    • Make an herbal douche of goldenseal and myrrh; simmer one tablespoon of each in three quarts of warm water. Strain the mixture, cool and douche as normal.

    Anti Yeast Tonic

    • Make a tonic by mixing one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of honey in one quarter cup of warm water. Drink this mixture with each meal for relief of your candida symptoms.

    Teas

    • Brew a cup of anti-yeast tea by mixing two parts sage with two part rosemary leaf, two parts mullein and one quarter part goldenseal root. Add four to six tablespoons of the mixture to one quart of cold water and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Strain your liquid and drink the tea as often as you like. You may want to sweeten this tea, as it is a little bitter.

    Caprylic Acid

    • Caprylic acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid with antibacterial qualities. Take the standard dose, which is 1,000 to 2,000 milligrams, with meals.

    Garlic Supplements

    • Take enteric-coated garlic supplements to ease the symptoms of a candida yeast infection. Take one capsule twice a day for relief.
