Heat, heat and more heat. Apply a hot washcloth or heating pad to the area on your neck where the glands are swollen for up to 15 minutes at a time. Keep repeating the process until you feel relief.

A nice cup of hot tea with honey will always soothe your swollen neck glands. Drink it as hot as you can stand it, without of course burning yourself. Adding some acid to the tea also works well to soothe the pain and swollen area.

Boil together, three cups of water, 2 teaspoons of basil leaves, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Allow to cook for at least 10 minutes, then simmer for another 10 minutes. Drain and drink up. I can definitely say this works wonders for swollen glands.

Warm water and salt always seems to do the trick as well. Be sure the water is hot enough to dissolve the salt. Take a sip and swallow it, and then gargle with the rest.

Rubbing Tiger balm or mentholated cream on your neck will always relieve the pain within a few minutes. Do not however rub it on your neck as soon as you get out of the shower. Wait at least 30 minutes so your pour close up some. Remember, a little goes a long way.

Start adding garlic to as much of your food as you possibly can. Garlic is an excellent source of killing bacteria. Takes a good week to start seeing results, but it does work!

Last but not least, apple cider vinegar will take away those swollen neck glands within three days. Swig about a shot of apple cider vinegar everyday until you are feeling better. It is an amazing natural remedy for this and so many other things.
