How to Make Homemade Wart Remover

A wart (also known as a verruca) is a fleshy skin growth caused by a virus. Warts are unattractive and embarrassing, and often difficult to remove. Doctors can freeze warts off, and people can purchase wart treatments consisting of costly toxic chemicals that are applied to the wart in hopes of killing the virus and removing the wart. A homemade and effective wart remover can be made for just pennies per treatment.

Instructions

    • 1

Clean the wart and allow it to dry thoroughly. This will allow the vinegar to penetrate better.

    • 2

Apply petroleum jelly to the area around the wart. Avoid getting any of the petroleum jelly on the wart itself. The petroleum jelly will act as a shield, protecting the healthy skin from being affected by the homemade wart remover treatment.

    • 3

Pull of a small piece of the cotton ball, equal to the size of the wart. Saturate it with the apple cider vinegar. To avoid losing the cotton in the bottle of vinegar, you can pour a small amount of vinegar onto a teaspoon and let the cotton ball absorb that small amount.

    • 4

Place the saturated cotton piece onto the wart. Cover as much of the wart as possible.

    • 5

Wrap water proof medical tape around the area to hold the cotton in place. The acid in the apple cider vinegar will act to kill the virus.

    • 6

Wear the cotton and tape overnight and remove them in the morning. Repeat for as many days as necessary. You will begin to see the wart shrink as it dies. When the warty area has flattened out and scabbed over, you can stop wrapping it with vinegar and tape each night.
