Instructions

    • 1

Bring 2 cups spring or distilled water to a boil. Add ¼ cup Epsom salt to the water, and stir until completely dissolved. Add 2 tbsp. high quality olive oil, and 1 cup green or bentonite clay. Stir to combine. Adjust the amount of water, if necessary, to form a thick, wet paste.

    • 2

Take a warm shower, but not too hot. This will open the pores prior to applying detox body wraps, and allow the ingredients to further penetrate the skin and draw out toxins.

    • 3

Undress and get into a clean bathtub. Rub the body, or part of the body, with the detox body wrap clay mixture. Cover the body with an old sheet, or salon wrapping sheets, and wrap as tightly as possible to squeeze the tissues.

    • 4

Keep the detox body wrap on the body for at least one hour. You may remain longer, if desired, but no longer than two hours. Read a book or magazine, or bring in a portable television to help pass the time, if desired.

    • 5

Once the allotted time has passed, remove the sheet and rinse the body thoroughly with warm water. Allow the body to air dry, if possible, rather than using a towel after rinsing. Apply moisturizer, if desired, to prevent the skin from drying out.
