Flush dietary and environmental toxins in the colon with herbs that aid the body's naturally occurring purification processes. When the colon becomes full of toxins, other physical symptoms appear. A cleanse eases related symptoms, such as headaches, bowel problems, mental confusion and rashes.

Use Slippery Elm as an infusion or enema to help reduce inflammation and to eliminate waste from the colon. Garlic and Barberry are two herbs that flush the colon of waste. Drink freshly squeezed lemon juice with warm water every morning and evening to cleanse the blood and detoxify the system.

Eat only raw vegetables and raw non-citrus fruits for up to two weeks. Apples, bananas, berries and grapes are good choices. Drink a minimum of eight 8 oz. glasses of distilled water every day, which loosens stools.
