There are two ways to prepare the herbs in this recipe: either as a tea or as a tincture. A tea will be ready for you to start drinking within minutes, while a tincture requires about one month to “brew.”

For tea, combine 2 teaspoonfuls of the following herbs in 1 quart of boiling water: ginkgo leaves, hawthorn leaves, flowers and berries, orange slices and rose hips.

Add 1 teaspoonful of rose hips and allow your tea to sit, or steep, for 15 to 20 minutes. Add honey, lemon or sugar before you drink it, if you wish. Strain it and drink one or two cups each day.

To make a tincture using the same herbs, simply grind the herbs and place them in a quart canning jar. Add one handful of raspberries and then fill the jar with brandy. Shake it every day for 1 month, and then strain it and add 2 tbsp. of honey. Take 1/2 teaspoonful once or twice every day.
