Instructions

1
Consult with your doctor about whether you can safely take grape seed extract. Although considered safe, grape seed extract might interact with other medications or herbs you might be taking. And for those allergic to grapes, grape seed extract is still capable of causing an allergic reaction.
-
2
Obtain grape seed extract in capsule, tablet or tincture form. These products should be standardized to what`s called 95% OPC content, where OPC stands for "oligomeric proanthocyanidins."
-
3
Take a 150-300 milligram dose of grape seed extract daily.
-
4
Maintain a healthy lifestyle, on top of any grape seed regimen. The benefits provided by grape seeds can, at best, supplement a responsible diet and exercise routine.
-
5
Continue taking the grape seed extract for at least four weeks, monitoring your blood pressure regularly throughout. Compare your blood pressure readings from before and after the daily dose of grape seed extract, to see if it has had any impact.
