How to Treat Bee Stings With Herbal Remedies
The last time I got stung by a bee, it was on the bottom of my foot. I was supposed to go hiking the next day, and I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to put pressure on my foot. So, I worked overtime to get the pain and swelling down. Since I was on vacation, all I could do was ice it. But after I got home from my trip I researched how to treat bee stings with herbal remedies. And now I'd like to share my knowledge with you.

1
Ice the area. Ice brings the inflammation down. Ice it for about 10 or 15 minutes and then you can try some of the other remedies. Continue icing it throughout the day.
-
2
Mix oatmeal with some warm water and spread the paste over the area of the sting. Leave it on until it dries. Rinse it off and then ice it again if the area is still painful.
-
3
Apply aloe vera gel to the area several times throughout the day. If you decide to ice it again, just wait until the aloe absorbs into your skin.
-
4
Mix one drop of lavender essential oil with about 1/4 cup of water or witch hazel (witch hazel is preferred). Dab it on the area with a cotton ball several times a day. If you want to ice the sting some more, just wait until the mixture evaporates.

When I was a kid, my grandmother would always dab apple cider vinegar on my bee stings. So, I still do that. I always put the vinegar on before I ice it. If it still hurts after an hour or so, I'll dab more on.
