In high school, take classes such as Chemistry,Biology,Anatomy,Math,Psychology and Sociology.You should also take English classes to improve you communicational skills, and courses in bussiness and computer science, since homeopaths work in personal practices so they need bussiness skills also.

There are several ways in which you can train after finishing high school in order to become a homeopath. Most homeopaths study a health related field in college, such as nursing, nutrition, or biology. After finishing college in a health care field, and gaining some work experience, you can go to a naturopathic school that offers courses in homeopathy.

For people who are not medically trained, there are also other programs in homeopathy. Homeopathy schools can take the same amount of time and effort as the traditional medical schools.

After finishing a homeopathy training program, you can become certified in homeopathy. American Board of Homeotherapeutics offers two different types of certification, one available for MD's and OD's and the other offered to physician assistants and advanced practice nurses. The Council for Homeopathic Certification offers certification to professional homeopaths.

If the state in which you intent to practice has a licensing requirement, you have to become licensed.Currently,Arizona,Connecticut and Nevada have licensing laws for homeopaths.
