How to Settle a Stomach Naturally
An upset stomach can be a sign of medical problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, ulcers or Crohn's disease. More often, though, it's probably something you ate. Acidic fruits, alcoholic drinks, chocolate and fatty foods can cause an upset stomach by increasing the amount of acid in your stomach. Many over-the-counter treatments are available for an upset stomach, but natural herbal remedies may help ease or eliminate the problem.Things You'll Need
- 2 tbsp. dried peppermint leaves or chamomile
- 1/2 tsp. dried ginger powder
- 1 cup water
- Strainer
- Coffee mug or glass
- Honey

Peppermint or Chamomile Tea

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

Remove the boiling water from the heat source. Add 2 tbsp. of dried peppermint leaves or chamomile to the hot water.

Allow the herbs to soak in the hot water for at least five minutes.

Place the strainer over a coffee mug or glass. Pour the hot mixture through the strainer.

Add honey to the tea to taste and drink.
Ginger Tea

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil, then remove from the heat source.

Add 1/2 tsp. of dried ginger powder to the water. Allow the ginger to steep in the hot water for 10 minutes.

Strain the mixture into a coffee mug or glass.

Sweeten the tea with honey to taste and drink.
