How to Use Chamomile to Treat Heartburn

While it's possible to purchase instant chamomile tea, it's just as easy to prepare delicious and all-natural homemade chamomile teas with ingredients from your local supermarket.Things You'll Need
- Dried chamomile flower petals
- Cooking pot with lid
- Colander
- Honey (optional)
- Sugar (optional)
- Lemon (optional)
- Dehydrated calendula petals
- Grated lemon peel
- Dried peppermint
- Cloves
- Dried mint
- Dried lavender
- Teapot

Prepare Plain Chamomile Tea to Ease Heartburn

Boil 1 cup of water.

Reduce heat and stir in 1 tsp. of dehydrated chamomile petals.

Simmer for 45 seconds and remove from heat.

Allow the petals to soak in hot water for another minute.

Use a colander to strain chamomile flowers from the water.

Transfer the chamomile water into your favorite mug and sweeten with honey, sugar or lemon to taste.

Mix a 1/2 cup of dried chamomile flowers with 1/2 cup of dehydrated calendula flowers.

Stir in 2 tbsp. of lemon zest, 1 tbsp. cloves and 1/4 cup of dried peppermint. Mix thoroughly.

Use 1/2 tsp. of the mixture with 1 cup of boiling water to make a cup of tea.
