How to Get Rid of Rare Foot Odor

Most people experience some foot odor but at times a particularly bad case can cause shame and embarrassment. Feet contain sweat glands and odor results from bacteria that feed on perspiration. When feet perspire within a shoe or sock, a perfect environment for bacteria exists. Although most foot odor is unnoticed and harmless, sometimes people develop cases of embarrassing rare foot odor. Fortunately, there is an easy and natural way to control these outbreaks.

Instructions

    • 1

Heat one quart of water in a saucepan until it boils. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for three minutes before removing the lid and placing six green tea bags into the rolling hot water.

    • 2

Heat the submerged teabags in the rolling hot water for 5 to 10 minutes, allowing the water to absorb the green tea's natural ingredients. The longer you let the bags saturate the water with tea, the better.

    • 3

Place a towel on the floor and place an empty tub on top. Pull up a chair close to the tub. Sit down on the chair and roll up your pant legs above the top of your calf muscle.

    • 4

Pour your tea bag solution into the small tub until the tub is half-full. Leave enough room for your feet to go into the tub without spilling the green tea solution onto the towel. Adjust the temperature of the solution with cool tap water until you can submerge your feet up to your ankles.

    • 5

Soak your feet for 20 minutes.

    • 6

Remove your feet from the tub and let the air dry them. Do not wipe dry. Do not wear socks or shoes until your feet are completely dry. You may use a hair dryer to blow dry your feet but do not wipe away any of the green tea residue, which will help keep your feet dry and odor free for up to three days.
