Recipes for Sinus Wash

Pour the solution into the neti pot and repeat the process of pouring the entire rinse through the nasal cavity. Use this recipe for sinus congestion due to allergies and the common cold.

    Make an Herbal Rinse for Infection

    • Use antibiotic herbs such as tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract to combat a sinus infection. Buy tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract at a health food store. Mix one cup of warm water with 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, five drops of tea tree oil and five drops of grapefruit seed extract in a neti pot. Stir the mixture ensuring all the ingredients are fully dissolved. Perform the nasal rinse as you would for irritated sinuses. Repeat this process two to three times a day for up to seven days.
