How to Treat a Cough Without Medicine

There are two main types of coughs: One is a dry, hacking cough, and the other is a deeper congested cough that tends to produce phlegm. Common causes of coughs include colds, allergies, infections, allergies, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, esophageal reflux disease and smoking. Medicine need not always be the first choice of treatment for coughs, especially when it comes to mild symptoms. Some remedies tend to work better on a particular type of cough.
