1
Cleanse the body of toxins at the first sign of symptoms to help cure a cold. Enjoy a light diet for a day, drinking fresh fruit juices such as pineapple and grapefruit juices and plenty of water. The alkalinity of fruits and the ease of digestion will give your body a chance to release and eliminate toxins which deplete your immune system.
-
2
Use liquid mycellized vitamin A at the onset of cold symptoms, taking up to 50,000 IU each day for three to five days.
-
3
Take 4 or 5 g of vitamin C each day during a cold. If you experience stomach upset or diarrhea due to taking vitamin C, split up the dosage throughout the day.
-
4
Begin taking echinacea at the first chance of infection. Echinacea, whenever possible, should be taken even before you notice symptoms or as soon as you notice symptoms. Because echinacea comes in many forms, it is best to follow the manufacturer's instructions for dosage information.

5
Cure a cold before it starts by taking 4 or 5 pellets of Oscillococcinum when symptoms begin. Start off with 4 or 5 pellets every hour and then after three doses, continue taking Oscillococcinum three times per day.
-
6
Discontinue the Oscillococcinum if a cold comes on strong regardless of holistic treatment. To help treat full cold symptoms, alternate between Bryonia Alba and Gelsemium Sempervirens, taking 4 or 5 pellets every hour and then reducing to four times daily.
