The Uses of Silver Biotics

Silver has been used medicinally for four thousand years. Silver Biotics is a patented form of silver hydrosol, a suspension of nanoparticles of silver in pure water at 10 parts per million. Primary uses for silver hydrosol are strengthening immune systems, enhancing wound healing, in water purification treatments, and in killing infectious pathogens. In alternative medicine, silver hydrosol is used to treat many human ailments because of its powerful ability to kill germs.
  1. Historical Uses

    • In medieval times, the weathy used silver cups, plates and silver knives to prevent food contamination.

Ancient peoples used water vessels made of silver to keep the water free of bacteria. Powdered silver was used in treating wounds. Silver compounds were used in treating diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea, for ulcers, for blood purification, for heart conditions and eye diseases. Silver coins were often added to milk or water to keep them pure on the long trek out West during pioneer days in America. Silver preparations and colloidal silver were used extensively in the United States before WWII, but with the advent of antibiotics, silver use was largely discontinued.

    Immune Builder

    • Silver Biotics, or silver hydrosol, is used internally to strengthen the body's immune system. This is the primary reason most people take silver hydrosol, to prevent or get rid of colds and flu. The usual dose of silver hydrosol is 1 to 3 tsp. a day. Reports abound about the efficacy and usefulness of silver hydrosol for ear infections, diaper rash, gum problems, athlete's foot, yeast infections, conjunctivitis, bed sores, warts and corns, gastrointestinal disturbances and many more human ailments.

    Wound Healing

    • Silver hydrosol can be sprayed topically on cuts, abrasions, open wounds, burns and skin problems to aid in healing and tissue rebuilding. Put a few drops on the wound before placing a bandage. Rinse skin with silver hydrosol to aid in healing acne, psoriasis and eczema. Spray it on any bad sunburn as well. Spritz silver hydrosol in the mouth and nose to relieve cold sores and dry, achy nasal passages.

    Water Purification

    • Silver was used for thousands of years in water purification.

Silver hydrosol has many other uses besides the strictly medical. Add silver hydrosol to water (1 tbsp. to 1 gallon) to clean and purify water, which is especially useful when traveling and the water might be suspect. Silver has a long historical use for purifying water, and it is used in many cities' water treatment systems to this day.

    Disinfectant

    • Silver hydrosol is used to wipe down kitchen counters and cutting boards as a disinfectant.

Wipe clean all potentially contaminated surface areas and household objects with full-strength silver hydrosol to disinfect them. During flu season, wipe off the phone, doorknobs, faucets, sinks, pens, refrigerator handles and television touch pads. Soak toothbrushes with it and add it to the water-pic solution. Wipe down the doors, sinks and other areas of the house that might become contaminated with germs.

    Pets

    • Silver biotics will help combat ear mites in pets.

Adding silver hydrosol to the pet's water dish is probably the most common use for animals. Other uses include spraying it in a pet's ears if ear mites are a problem, or rubbing some drops of the hydrosol into the skin of the ear with cotton swabs. Treat eye infections or problems with drops in the eye. Rub into the cat's skin and fur when there's a problem with eczema. Add an ounce or two to Rover's bath. If a pet seems very ill, provide a bowl of undiluted silver hydrosol.

    House and Garden Plants

    • Spray silver hydrosol on house plants to eliminate fungus and disease.

Spray the foliage of house plants with silver hydrosol to rid the plant of any fungus, rot or plant diseases. Add it to plant soils and hydroponic solutions. Mix silver hydrosol with other ingredients, such as vinegar and salt, to use as a produce wash to eliminate the threat of salmonella and E. coli on the surface of fruits and vegetables.

    Cautions

    • The FDA considers colloidal silver and other silver preparations as pre-1938 drugs, with the view that newer and more effective medications have been developed. Colloidal silver and silver hydrosol are considered dietary supplements, but not necessary for human health. According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, too much silver in the body can lead to skin turning blue permanently, a condition called argyria. With the newer silver hydrosol, this no longer seems to be a problem.
