Homeopathic Cures for Warts
One of the most obnoxious skin problems that can arise is a wart. They are gross to touch and look at. There are a myriad of over the counter medications you could try to get rid of a wart, but they very often fail. What can you do? There are less expensive, homeopathic ways to attack the wart, which actually have a better chance than over the counter stuff.-
Vitamin A
-
Vitamin A from fish oil or fish-liver oil is a successful cure for a wart. In order to use vitamin A, buy capsules containing 25,000 international units (measurement for vitamins and medication). Do not ingest the capsules as it is dangerous to consume this much. Rather, break the capsules open and pour the liquid directly onto the wart and rub it in. You should apply the vitamin A once daily. Some warts, like juvenile warts, will be gone in a month to four months, while plantar warts take may take two to five months longer.
Tape
-
Another cure is to cover the wart securely with any medical tape. For the warts to go away, just leave the tape over it 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Only change the tape if it starting to look dirty. Although this method may not work on every wart, when it does work, it takes about three weeks or more.
Castor Oil Paste
-
If you are intrigued by the tape idea, you may increase your chances of success by spreading some castor oil on the wart and then applying tape. You could also make a thick paste using castor oil and baking soda. Rub the paste into the wart two or three times a day to get rid of it.
Vinegar
-
Vinegar, especially apple cider vinegar, is another option for treating warts. Like castor oil and vitamin A, it is best applied directly on the wart. It can be worn under the tape, or you can soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and tape it over the wart. This may be the quickest most efficient way to get rid of a wart. The wart should be gone in 3 to 4 days.
Leave the Wart Alone
-
You could leave the wart alone--40-50 percent of warts will spontaneously vanish after a while. Unfortunately, it can take about two years. If you have the kind does not go away, you might end up wasting your time and have a much deeper wart. Children, however, are more likely to lose a wart in less time.
