Yeast Infection Homeopathic Remedies

Suppositories
-
Visit your local homeopath to purchase 600 mg boric acid suppositories. Insert the suppositories into your vagina each morning and every night before gong to sleep. Use the suppositories for 2 to 4 weeks. If your symptoms have not improved significantly after two weeks, call your doctor for an appointment.
Alternately, you may wrap one clove of peeled (but not cut) garlic in a piece of cheesecloth, taking care to leave a length of string hanging from the end of the cloth. Insert the wrapped garlic into your vagina, and leave it there for 3 to 5 hours or overnight. Remove it with the string, and insert a fresh clove until your symptoms improve. Garlic contains natural anti-fungal properties, which will destroy yeast.
Sitz Bath
-
Put five drops of tea tree oil into a warm sitz bath, and use up to three times a day to reduce external discomfort of a yeast infection.
Douches
-
Infuse warm water with 2 tsp. dried goldenseal or Oregon grape root to create a tea douche. Douche with the mixture two times a day for two to four weeks to treat vaginal candida. You may also create a hydrogen peroxide douche which will help control vaginal yeast. Mix 1 tsp. hydrogen peroxide in 1 cup warm water. Use the douche once a day to help eliminate excess yeast.
Oral Remedies
-
Take two capsules of Pau D'Arco with a meal three times a day until your symptoms improve. Alternately, drink two cups of Taheebo tea with a meal twice a day. (Do not use this remedy if you are pregnant. Children should reduce the dose to two capsules or one cup of tea, twice a day.) The herbs are anti-fungal and will fight candida, as well as a number of other fungi, including athlete's foot.
Diet
-
Eat yogurt with live cultures at least twice a day. Avoid sugars and white flour products, which will feed the yeast and cause them to multiply. Eat fresh vegetables, poultry, citrus fruits, Omega 3 fatty acids, including fish and flax seed oil, olive oil and raw nuts. Eat whole grains, and drink at least six to eight 8-oz. glasses of water a day. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, animal fats, hydrogenated oils, dairy products (aside from yogurt) and fast or "junk" foods, which tend to be high in sugar, white flour and fat.
