How to Cleanse Mucus

- Positive-pressure sinus irrigation bottle
- Distilled, filtered or previously boiled water
- Table salt

Fill the positive-pressure, sinus irrigation bottle with 8 oz. warm distilled, filtered or previously boiled water.

Add 1/8 tsp. of table salt to the water and tighten the cap completely. Place a finger over the cap and shake the bottle until the mixture is completely dissolved.

Lean slightly forward over a sink and place the bottle cap against your nasal passage.

Gently squeeze the bottle until the saline solution drains from the opposite nasal passage or your mouth.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the opposite side.

Blow your nose to remove any remaining saline solution.
