How to Make Homemade Honey Lemon Cough Syrup
Honey and lemon is a popular old-time remedy for a cough -- but does it work? According to Dr. James Steckelberg writing on MayoClinic.com, some research shows that kids with colds who were given two teaspoons of honey at bedtime got some relief from their cough. Severe or persistent coughs, however, or coughs from another cause, such as asthma, require medical treatment. - 1 cup honey
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 cup warm water
