Do people with Spina Bifida Occulta have hydrocephalus?

Not necessarily. Spina bifida occulta and hydrocephalus are two separate medical conditions that can occur independently of each other. Spina bifida occulta is a birth defect in which the backbone does not completely close around the spinal cord, whereas hydrocephalus is a condition characterized by an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. While some individuals with spina bifida occulta may also have hydrocephalus, not all cases of spina bifida occulta are associated with hydrocephalus.
