How to Use Iridology as a Diagnostic Tool
Iridology is a form of alternative medicine dealing with the connection between the iris of the eye and the nerves in the rest of the body. The iris is examined for markings and for cell changes which could indicate problems elsewhere in your body. Iridology is not used as a diagnostic tool for specific illnesses or conditions. Rather, it's a tool to discover possible problem areas in the body and make the patient aware of these vulnerabilities. Follow these steps to learn how to use iridology as a diagnostic tool.Things You'll Need
- Iridoscope
- Computer with Internet access
- Iridology chart
- Iridology camera
- Certified Iridology Practitioner

Use Iridology as a Tool to Locate Problem Areas
-
1
Use an iridoscope to magnify the iris. A rudimentary magnification tool can be made using a flashlight and a magnifying glass. A professional-grade iridoscope is better suited for diagnostic purposes, though.
-
2
Take a picture of the enhanced iris with an iridology camera to execute a more thorough diagnostic. Having a photograph of the iris will allow the practitioner and patient to view the iris together.
-
3
Examine the iris picture against an iridology chart to determine what problems could exist and where. Pay attention not only to what kinds of markings there are, including their color and shape, but also to what area of the iris you find them in. This will indicate what organs of the body may be experiencing trouble.
-
4
Have suspected problem areas examined by a medical doctor to determine if the vulnerabilities indicated by your iris have turned into actual health conditions.
