      Create a space in your home that is calming and peaceful. Candles, essential oils with calming lavender, chamomile, and rose, artwork, and flowers will add to the sense of tranquility.

      Sit cross-legged or lie on your back. Relax any part of your body that may be tense and breathe slowly. Allow your mind to empty of any thoughts. Focus on your breathing. Every time your mind wanders, bring it back to your breathing. Do this for several minutes until you feel completely calm.

      Visualize yourself walking toward the roller coaster ride. Tell yourself that you enjoy roller coaster rides. Visualize yourself confronting your fear by getting on the roller coaster. Imagine yourself smiling as the roller coaster moves along and eventually descends. You are still smiling when you get off of the roller coaster.

      Practice this meditation and visualization every day until the day of the roller coaster ride. It should help lessen anxieties or fears you may have about roller coaster rides.
