It is not safe to say that people with mental illness do not have spiritual guidance in their lives. While some people with mental illness may not seek out or have access to traditional forms of spiritual guidance, many find meaning, comfort, and support in their own spiritual or religious beliefs and practices. Additionally, not all people with mental illness are unable to have meaningful spiritual experiences or guidance in their lives.
