  1. Natural Ingredients

    • Look no further than your fridge and larder for ingredients to whip up quick and easy remedies. Honey, olive oil, flax seed oil, almond oil, unsalted table butter, sea salt, buckwheat, avocado, lavender oil, two pairs of warm, soft socks and a pumice stone.

    Concoctions

    • Prepare a cup of exfoliating cream by mixing a handful of sea salt with half a cup of honey and a few drops of soothing, lavender oil. Another option is to mix together a cup of buckwheat, one ripe avocado (pureed) and a few drops of lavender oil.

    The Treatment

    • Rub your feet with warm olive oil and place them in a warm bath for 10 minutes. Then thoroughly rub your homemade exfoliating salt/honey or buckwheat/avocado mix for a few minutes on each foot. Next, generously slather on avocado puree or honey on your feet, and scrub gently with a pumice stone for a few minutes. Wash off with warm water and rub your feet with Vaseline. Put on a soft pair (or two) of cotton socks. You can do this before going to bed. For daytime, rub into your feet a generous amount of one part olive oil, one part almond oil, and one part flax seed oil. Cover your feet in a pair of thick cotton socks to prevent moisture loss.

    Watch What You Eat

    • Dry feet can be caused by Omega-3 and Zinc deficiency. So pop a multivitamin a day and include an egg or two in your weekly diet.
