What Post-Polio Syndrome?
Post-polio syndrome (PPS) is a condition that can affect people who have had polio. It can occur many years after the person has recovered from the initial polio infection.

- Difficulty swallowing
- Breathing problems

- Cognitive problems, such as memory loss and difficulty thinking
- Emotional problems, such as depression and anxiety
Treatment for PPS focuses on managing the symptoms and improving quality of life. There is no cure for PPS, but treatment can help to slow the progression of the condition and prevent complications.
