Wash all linens, towels, clothing, and stuffed animals with the hottest water possible. The combination of hot water and laundry detergent will kill the fleas through poisoning or drowning.

    • 3

Mix 10 drops of eucalyptus oil with 4 ounces of water in a spray bottle. Spray all bedding and upholstered furniture to repel the fleas.

    • 4

Mix 20 drops of eucalyptus oil with 4 ounces of olive oil in a squirt or spray bottle. Use this as a moisturizer after getting out of the shower to repel fleas and provide a fresh, earthy scent.

    • 5

Wash household pets in a mixture of lemon scented dish detergent and warm water to kill the fleas.

    • 6

Place eucalyptus leaves or cedar wood chips underneath furniture and pet bedding to help repel fleas. All of the steps above will repel fleas to the exterior of your home where you have a barrier of boric acid set up to kill the fleas.
