Who is dr serafin macraig?

Seraphin Macraig is an experienced Scottish doctor who has worked with HIV/AIDS for more than 25 years. He worked as a Medical Officer in the HIV Department at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Edinburgh from 1991 to 1999, and served as a Research Fellow in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Imperial College, London from 1999 to 2004. He is a member of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), and has served as the Co-Convenor of the British HIV Association's Policy and Strategy Group.

He is a consultant in infectious diseases and virologist at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, and Professor of Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London. He served as president of the British HIV Association from 2011 to 2013, and is currently a board member of the International AIDS Society.

Macraig is interested in the immune response to HIV infection and the development of vaccines and therapies to prevent and treat the disease. He has published over 200 papers in scientific journals, and has been involved in numerous clinical trials of HIV drugs and vaccines. He is also an Associate Director for Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London, and the Director of the National Infection Service.
