What is an osselot?

The ocelot (Leopardus pardalis) is a small wild cat native to the subtropical or tropical forests of Mexico, Central and South America. It is found from the south-western United States to northern Argentina, and also in Trinidad. It is an adaptable species that can live in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, swamps, and forests. The ocelot is an opportunistic carnivore and its diet includes small mammals, birds, reptiles, insects and fish. It is solitary and nocturnal, and rarely seen in the wild as it is shy and secretive.
